Frisco City Council is considering changing the rules for public input at council meetings. City officials said the move comes after a Feb. 3 meeting where 23 people, including several who were not Frisco residents, spoke about perceived demographic changes in Frisco during the public comment period. City attorneys will compile a list of ways to control the time and manner of speakers during public comment for review during a future work session, which would be voted on during a regular City Council meeting before implementation.

4. Q&A: Meet the Democratic primary candidates for US House District 24
Three candidates are on the Democratic ballot for U.S. House District 24 for the March 3 primary election. One of the three candidates, Jon Buchwald, Kevin Burge and TJ Ware, will appear again on the November ballot against Republican incumbent Beth Van Duyne. She has served as the district’s representative since January 2021. Community Impact reached out to candidates to answer provided questions. Candidates were asked to keep their responses to 50 words and avoid attacking opponents.
