The Sweet Shop closed in Highland Village due to declining sales, co-owner Luis Rotundo said.

“Unfortunately, sales were rapidly declining down to a point where the business was not financially viable any longer,” he said. “We had to make the hard decision to close the shop.”

The store sold different flavors of candy including Swedish candy and in-house freeze-dried candies, per previous reporting. In addition, co-owner Erika Radivojevich home-baked custom cakes, fruit tarts, cinnamon rolls, brownies and pies.
