A new sports bar and grill and bakery soon will open at Northlake Commons.

The building at 1242 FM 407, Northlake, is under construction and will feature nearly 10,000 square feet. About 3,300 square feet is not leased, said Becky Compton, director of marketing and office administration for Office Equity Solutions, based in Southlake. Lambert's Sports Bar and Vanellie’s Bake Shop will open at the property.

“People are very interested in it,” Compton said. “It will probably be fully leased before it’s finished.”

In a nutshell

Lambert’s will strive to be the “premier sports bar,” owners Jimmy and Luke Lambert said, and it will be a place where one can “catch any game and hang out with friends and family in Denton County, with an atmosphere that won’t be beaten.”

In addition to being a sports bar with TVs showing the latest games, Lambert’s will have a game room, swings, free Wi-Fi and a dog-friendly patio.

At Lambert’s, food will be American fare made from scratch with a wide selection of craft beers and spirits. Lambert’s will be open for lunch and dinner as well as brunch on the weekends, and it is expected to open by the fourth quarter of this year.

Vanellie’s will be a French/European bakery. It plans to serve a variety of baked goods, such as cheesecakes and custom cakes, and will offer muffins, cookies, croissants, coffee and ice cream as well. Compton said mid-October is a "best guess" for the bakery's opening.

A closer look

Compton said OES is looking for one or two tenants for the 3,300 remaining square feet, and it’s the last building in the shopping center. Northlake Commons is a mixed-use development of 14 single- and multitenant buildings designed for professional/medical office restaurants and retail in a “town center” setting, OES information states.

“Our business model is to go into fast-growing, outlying areas, buy land, build buildings, lease them then sell them,” she said about OES.
