Retailers and restaurants are expected to start trickling into Legacy West in 2016 as the 250-acre mixed-use development continues to take shape.


Construction on the development, located off the Dallas North Tollway west of the Shops at Legacy, began in February. A grand opening date has been tentatively set for March 2, 2017, according to developer Fehmi Karahan of The Karahan Companies.The list of confirmed tenants so far include Bistro 31, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle, Fidelity, Fogo De Chao, Mesero, North Italia, Planet Blue, Shake Shack, Sprinkles, Suit Supply, Taverna, Tommy Bahama, Toulouse and True Food Kitchen.


Legacy West will also be home to Toyota Motor North America, Liberty Mutual Insurance and FedEx Office & Print Services. JP Morgan Chase announced in early January that it would be moving about 6,000 of its employees there as well. In addition, Palladium USA International announced Oct. 5 it has a contract to purchase 2.1 acres of land in Legacy West to build a 30-story luxury high-rise tower. The building will be the tallest structure in Collin County.
