Wade Park's two lenders have refiled foreclosure notices. The new foreclosure sale is set for May 1.

Original story

Wade Park once again evaded a foreclosure sale Tuesday when a trustee did not arrive to sell the property.

Lenders Gamma Lending Omega and Bamcap Partners refiled foreclosure notices in March after a first foreclosure sale on March 6 did not happen.

Thomas Land & Development, Wade Park’s developer, owes contractors and suppliers more than $21 million for services and materials on the 175-acre mixed-use development.

An earlier Community Impact Newspaper story explained that foreclosures and other financial troubles are not new for Thomas Land & Development.

Wade Park is planned to be a major development with a mix of urban living, office space, dining, shopping, entertainment and destination hotels.

Several previously announced tenants have left Wade Park after construction delays pushed back the expected opening date of the development. Thomas Land & Development has an incentive agreement with the city of Frisco to finish portions of the development by Dec. 31 of this year in order to receive sales tax grants.
