Bill Utter Ford is celebrating 70 years in business with a community event.

The 70th anniversary celebration will be at Bill Utter Ford on May 8 and will include light bites, refreshments and music, marketing director Bailee Utter Kuehne said.

The backstory

The dealership was founded in 1956 by Bill Utter and is the oldest family-owned and operated dealership in North Texas, according to its website. Kuehne, who is a third-generation family member at Bill Utter Ford, said the dealership is now women-operated.

She said some of the things that set Bill Utter Ford apart from other dealerships are its price transparency and that the dealership is a one-stop shop for post-purchase needs.

Bill Utter Ford has an after-market department on-site for post-purchase customizations. There is also a service center on the property that includes after-hours emergency support, tire services, alignments, check engine light code scans and coolant system flushes.
