The first day to file for the May 4 Collin College board elections is Jan. 16. The filing deadline is Feb. 15. There are four places up for election, including Place 2, held by Steve Matthews; Place 4, held by Adrian Rodriguez; Place 5, held by Raj Menon; and Place 6, held by Mac Hendricks. Elections in places 4, 5, and 6 are for six-year terms, which begin in May 2019 and continue through May 2025. Place 2 is for a four-year period from May 2019 through May 2023, completing the remainder of a six-year term. The candidates elected will be sworn in at the regular board of trustees meeting May 28. Interested applicants must file appropriate documents with Deputy Election Secretary Kristy Horkman by 5 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Collin Higher Education Center, 3452 Spur 399, Ste. 400, McKinney.
