Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing how we find, understand, and organize information—not just for professionals, but for anyone curious about the past. Using family history research as a hands-on example, this course explores how AI can assist with tasks like transcription, translation, summarization, and research planning. Whether you’re a genealogist or simply interested in how AI works in everyday life, you’ll learn practical techniques you can apply immediately. Along the way, we’ll also demystify concepts like family relationships (yes—even “second cousin once removed”) and discuss where AI helps—and where human judgment still matters.
