Join our art journal play series and explore new techniques each month to expand your creativity and build your mixed media skills. Each session of this art journal play series introduces a unique approach you can add to your art journaling and mixed media art toolbox, giving you fresh ways to experiment, layer, and express your ideas.

Wine and snacks are provided to make this a relaxed, creative experience.

May 13 – Found Word Storytelling

Use vintage photos and found words from old books to tell a story. Build a layered background and create a narrative page in your journal.

June 10 – Ink Play

Explore different types of ink and techniques to add depth, focal points, and visual interest to your journal pages.

July 8 – Envelope Play

Transform recycled envelopes into creative elements that elevate your journal pages with simple, effective techniques.

August 12 – Fabric Play

Experiment with fabric to create texture, color, and dimension in your journal.

September 9 – Easy Stamp Carving Play

Design and carve your own stamps to use again and again in your art journal. (Limited to 10 students.)

October 14 – Stencils and Stitches

Combine stencil work with hand stitching to create a unique mixed media piece.

November 11 – Gel Print Play

Create one-of-a-kind prints using a gel plate. Build a collection of prints for collage, backgrounds, and future projects. (Limited to 10 students.)
