Per a May 21 press release, Petra Cares opened a new automotive training center in Cypress. The automotive training center is designed to foster youth and at-risk young adults build stable careers through automotive workforce training. Per officials, the facility welcomed its students on May 11 and plans to hold its grand opening on May 28.
The details
The new 7,800-square foot facility is expanding training capacity by 75% and includes two new state-of-the-art bays, said the release. In addition, the facility created more than 20 construction jobs during the build-out, along with several new Petra Cares positions.
