Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital leaders and staff, community partners and construction personnel met for a topping out ceremony as a symbol of the final structural beam's placement atop the hospital's North Tower, according to a Sept. 2 news release.

Topping out ceremonies are time-honored construction traditions, per the release, and the celebration marked a major milestone in the hospital's $277.5 million campus expansion that broke ground in fall 2025, with the upcoming North Tower as a centerpiece of the project.
"Our new patient tower represents a bold investment in the future of healthcare for our region, significantly expanding our ability to provide exceptional, patient-centered care for generations to come," Memorial Hermann Cypress Vice President of Operations Marci Holub said in the release.
