As Cy-Fair residents spend more time at home, this summer is an opportune time to take on some home improvement projects.

1. Give the kitchen a facelift
Installing custom cabinets, granite countertops and recessed lighting in the ceiling can make the kitchen an elegant space, Bakare said. Kitchen renovations are popular right now, he said, and many clients are taking the extra step to tear down walls in their kitchen to create a more open floor plan.
