The hibiscus margarita puts a spin on the traditional drink with El Jimador tequila, orange liqueur, lime and a hibiscus flower to add a sweet but subtle taste to the mix. The drink is $10 during regular hours and $7 during happy hour.
Tito’s Cantina, which opened at the end of 2017, serves a variety of Tex-Mex cuisine and drinks, including the hibiscus margarita, the fireball martini and the sangria de rosa.
Owner Jeff Smith said the hibiscus margarita is a top seller at Tito’s.
“It’s one of our top sellers and it has an edible hibiscus,” he said. “The cucumber lavender [margarita] is another one of our huge selling drinks because it isn’t a normal margarita.”
Tito’s Cantina also offers a variety of platters and dishes like bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese, picadillo enchiladas and chicken tinga tacos. Each day, the restaurant has a different dish special at a discounted price.
