A new locally owned sweets and coffee shop opened on Beechnut Street between the Meyerland area and Bellaire in November. Sweet Spot Cafe offers gelato, candy, coffee, waffles, crepes and pastries.
Officials said the sports bar and restaurant opened on Super Bowl Sunday and is serving 90 taps of American craft and imported beers as well as American cuisine. Menu items include sliders, wings, nachos, pizzas and tacos, according to the website.
