Mia’s Table—a casual family eatery that belongs to the Johnny Carrabba’s Family of Restaurants—along with Fajita Pete’s and Frost Bank have all been confirmed as tenants for a new retail development located on the southwest corner of Fry and Hempstead roads in Cypress. Braun Enterprises, which also developed the Pluckers Wing Bar located at Hwy. 290 and Skinner Road, is developing the project. Director of Leasing Zach Wolf said construction is slated to wrap up in the first quarter of 2020, and tenants should be able to open their businesses by next summer. Mia’s Table launched in the Houston area in 2012 with an extensive menu featuring burgers, chicken-fried steak, baby back ribs, steaks, seafood, tacos, salads, soups and homemade desserts. Other locations can be found in Houston, Shenandoah and Webster. Fajita Pete’s—which also has several Houston-area locations including one in Copperfield—serves up grilled-to-order fajitas and other Mexican-inspired dishes. The eatery is also known for its catering and delivery services. Texas-based Frost Bank offers banking, investment and insurance services for individuals and businesses. The company touts its technology tools and convenience with 130 financial center locations and 1,200 ATMs across the state. There are still more than 6,000 square feet available for leasing in the new strip center. Wolf said fitness, retail, dessert and salon businesses have been in high demand. Phase 2 of the project features 3,500 square feet and additional parking, but a construction timeline has not yet been announced. “Braun Enterprises is very excited to be joining the Cypress community,” Wolf said in an email. “We have been looking in this market for a while for a ground-up retail project.”
