1.  I-45 HOV lanes

The I-45 high occupancy vehicle lane extension will add one lane in each direction along I-45 from FM 1960 in north Harris County to South Loop 336 in Conroe. The HOV lane design is similar to those found on I-10 in Houston. Sixty five percent of the project has been completed, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

2. FM 3083 railroad overpass

Work on the expansion of FM 3083 continues with construction of a railroad overpass. FM 3083 has already been expanded from two to four lanes from I-45 to the starting location of the bridge, and the project will continue to widen the road to Stewarts Creek. Project construction has been postponed from April to June.

3. League Line Road extension

Construction of a 2.5-mile extension to League Line Road began in early March 2015. The project extends the road from its terminus at Hwy. 75 past FM 1484, creating a direct route from I-45 to the Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport. Paving of the Stewarts Creek bridge has been completed.

4. Westside connector

Crews have broken ground on a new roadway that will connect FM 1097 to Old Montgomery Road near I-45. TxDOT crews are working to install a traffic signal at the new intersection. Once complete, the roadway will make it possible for TxDOT crews to convert the southbound feeder road at the FM 1097 and I-45 intersection into a one-way road. The roadway has not officially been named.

5. Drennan Road extension

A Drennan Road extension from Plantation Drive to Hwy. 75 has been completed and opened to the public May 12. The extension continues the existing five-lane roadway to provide greater access to and from the new Conroe Police Department headquarters.
