Amazon 4-star, a retail store from the Seattle-based technology company, is expected to open mid-September at The Woodlands Mall, according to Brookfield Properties.
UPDATE: Teachers’ union granted temporary restraining order in lawsuit against Cy-Fair ISD
Officials with Cy-Fair American Federation of Teachers confirmed Friday night that a Harris County District Court judge granted the union a temporary restraining order.
The order stated that despite the district’s in-person professional development policy, teachers do not have to step foot on Cy-Fair ISD campuses before Sept. 7.

Mikael Floyd resigns from Pearland ISD board of trustees
Mikael "Mike" Floyd resigned from the Pearland ISD board of trustees, according to a social media post made by Floyd and a press release sent out by the district Aug. 14. Floyd had served on the board for one three-year term. His term would have ended in May 2020, had the election not been pushed to November due to COVID-19.
NEW: Karbach Brewing Co. brewmaster Chris Juergen to bring brewery, restaurant to Tomball
Chris Juergen, brewmaster at Houston's Karbach Brewing Co., has plans to break ground on a brewery and restaurant in his hometown of Tomball by year's end, the Tomball Economic Development Corp. announced late Aug. 11. Juergen is a Tomball High School graduate.
