A former feed store serving ranchers in the Montgomery area since the 1940’s is continuing its lifeline as a neighborhood bar and eatery.
Founded by husband and wife Curtis Barker and Angel Wiener in December 2025, 333 Bar & Grill serves as a gathering space for the Montgomery community.
The history
Serving as public housing in the early 2000s, the building was converted into an eatery in 2021. Years later, once the building became available, Wiener said she and her husband fell in love with the history and decided to revamp the space and open their own bar.
Wiener said the historic building has been continuously restructured over the years. Although she said no major changes were made to the building under her ownership, maintaining a historic building is an ongoing process.
“We're making some structural changes too. I like to call it a facelift, because the old girl has been around so long that in order to preserve her dignity, I don't want to change much. I just want to make sure that she's around for another 40 to 60 years,” Wiener said.

The inspiration
Founded as an extension of their tattoo shops, 333 Tattoo Studio, located in Montgomery and Willowbrook, Wiener said the bar provided her established community with a gathering space.
“The common spiritual meaning of 333 is growth and expansion, and that's something that I personally have considered to be a higher calling for myself,” Wiener said. “But 333 for me was a sign that I was growing personally, emotionally, spiritually, and it encouraged me to embrace new opportunities.”
With a focus on community, Wiener said 333 Bar & Grill often holds events including live music on weekends, brunch on Sundays and steak nights on Thursdays. The eatery also often holds community celebrations including birthdays and graduations.
Looking forward, Wiener said the bar plans to hold a classic car show at the end of August and plans to partner with the Montgomery VFW.
On the menu
Known as the home of ice-cold beer, Wiener said at 333 Bar & Grill customers can come as they are and enjoy a bite and drink.
Along with a full bar, the eatery offers seasonal specials, including its 333 frozen drinks in the summer, which consist of a frozen drink priced at $3.33. Offered on a weekly rotation, frozen drinks range from frozen margaritas to frozen old fashioneds.
The menu features several bar food items made with locally sourced ingredients, including meats sourced from Stone Cold Meats in Conroe and artisan bread from local bakeries.
