The Montgomery Fire Department, in operation since 1969, celebrated its 50th anniversary in February. Located at 20590 Eva St., Montgomery, the department has grown from an all-volunteer fire protection service to a fully professional department with 70 employees, according to Fire Chief Brian Edwards.
