SquareRut Kava Bar LLC opened a new location at 1601 Barton Springs Road on Jan. 25. Launched by Scott Pingel and his wife, Tracy, in 2012, the business sells the Pacific Island drink kava, which has sedative and anti-anxiety properties, according to the company. SquareRut closed its 6000 S. Congress Ave., Ste. 106 location in mid-January. www.squarerut.com
