Austin Energy's vice president of distributed energy services, Karl R. Rbago, has resigned. His last day with the company will be June 15, according to AE spokesman Ed Clark.
Clark said General Manager Larry Weis made the announcement last week within the company, and Rbago—who has more than 20 years experience in electric utility policy and regulation—has plans of starting his own consulting company.
Rbago joined AE in 2009 to oversee the city-owned utility's green energy initiatives, electric transportation and emerging technology groups.
