10th annual HAAM Corporate Battle of the Bands
Each year the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, an organization that provides access to affordable health care for Austin’s low-income working musicians, hosts a Corporate Battle of the Bands that encourages business professionals to unleash their inner rock star. Love for Loro City Wide Garage Sale
Love for Loro is a youth service initiative working to put hard-rubber shoes on the feet of children and teens in the village of Loro in rural northern Uganda. All profits from the Love for Loro City Wide Garage Sale benefit these children, who walk an average of 5 kilometers a day to school. Female students at the Loro Primary School will also be provided with feminine hygiene products as part of the project. Derby in the City Music Festival
The annual event features Citizen Cope, Black Pistol Fire, Sweet Spirit, Los Coast and The Watters to celebrate the Kentucky Derby. Participants should come ready to cheer on their favorite horse with a live viewing when the race begins.
