Final: Julie Oliver defeats Heidi Sloan in U.S. House District 25 race, will face Rep. Roger Williams again in November

In the U.S. representative District 25 race, the November election will feature the same two candidates in 2020 as it did in 2018.

Republican Roger Williams has held the seat since 2012 and received 62,874 votes, or 87.6%, defeating Republican challenger Keith Neuendorff of West Lake Hills, who received 8,915 votes, or 12.4%, according to results from the Texas Secretary of State.

In the Democratic primary, Julie Oliver defeated Heidi Sloan. Oliver received 47,619 votes, or 70%, while Sloan received 20,402 votes, or 30%.

Oliver ran against Williams in 2018 as the Democratic nominee, losing the general election by a margin of 53% to 44.8%.

Sloan works as a farmer and service provider with the formerly homeless at Community First Village in Austin.

The 25th congressional district includes parts of Austin and stretches north, ending just south of Fort Worth in Johnson County.

Results are not official until canvassed.
