J.T. Youngblood's—a fried chicken restaurant that originated in Waco in 1945, closed its multiple locations by 1969 and then reopened in the Mueller development in May 2017—closed its location at 1905 Aldrich St., Ste. 120, Austin, on Dec. 16. No reason was given for the decision. "It has been our pleasure serving the Austin community, and we have enjoyed bringing a Texas Tradition back to the present," the restaurant posted on its Facebook page. 512-649-8333. www.jtyoungbloods.com
