There’s something for everyone this weekend in the Austin area, including an outdoor movie, music festival, Juneteenth celebration and kitten yoga. Here are seven events for locals to attend from June 12-14.

Bastrop Splash Bash
Individuals can get to know city officials and neighbors during the community water battle. The evening will also offer waterslides, a dunk tank, bounce houses, yard games, live music and food vendors.
June Movie in the Park
Hosted by the city of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department, the June Movie in the Park will feature “A Minecraft Movie.”
Buzz-Worthy Pollinator Gardens
Calloway’s is hosting a pollinator-themed gardening talk focused on plants that attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Timed to peak planting season, the session will offer practical tips on creating a vibrant,eco-friendly garden that supports local wildlife.
Juneteenth Celebration
The Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association will host a Juneteenth event featuring a parade and festival celebrating freedom, heritage and community.
Bloom Block Party
Black Girl Austin and Vision Decor will host a block party with live music performances, a full bar and 20 vendors.
3rd Annual Kitten Shower
Hosted by the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area, this family-friendly event will feature kitten yoga. The event will also have a kitten-themed donation drive, kitten foster and trap-neuter-return 101 classes and more.
28th Annual Driftwood Music Festival
The all-day music festival will feature food, drinks, family-friendly fun and music from over 15 bands.Performers include Austin Music Award Winners Omar Vallejo and Lila and Sofia.
