If you’re looking for ways to beat the heat this summer, check out six Austin-area events happening this weekend, July 24-25. Head over to East Austin for the Vibe Artisan Market, or to New Braunfels for this year’s Quiltfest.

‘42nd Street’
The Georgetown Palace Theatre will put on a production of the show, which celebrates Broadway, Times Square and the magic of show business.
Quiltfest 2026This event, hosted by the New Braunfels Area Quilt Guild, will have 200 quilts on display. There will also be an emporium, boutique shopping, antique bed turnings and live demonstrations.
BBQ Cook-OffHill Country Rally for Kids will host a cook-off with teams competing to have the best Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktail, beans, salsa and barbecue. The event will be held at Camp Ben McCulloch with live music on Friday and a car show on Saturday.

Brick RodeoLego fans can head to Kalahari this weekend for a convention that showcases hundreds of intricate creations and sculptures.

Vibe Artisan Market Austinites can visit Distribution Hall for a two-day market with over 100 artisans each day. The event also features a cocktail bar, espresso bar, DJ sets, art gallery and additional activities. The market is family and dog friendly with free street parking.
Parent & Me: Pizza BakingParents and children can work together to make dough from scratch at Over The Top Cake Supplies. Participants will use the dough to make pizza cups, pigs in a blanket and monkey bread.
