2. The Lodge Card Club closes in Round Rock, lays off 114 employees
The Lodge Card Club, a social club and poker room, closed in Round Rock mid-March amid a state investigation over alleged gambling violations.
The business stated in a social media post March 15 that no charges were filed and that it was unclear when the card room would be able to resume operations.

6. Wendy's opening soon off Hwy. 46 in New Braunfels
A fast food restaurant is opening a new location soon, just north of New Braunfels.
Wendy’s is opening a third New Braunfels location at 2308 Hwy. 46, Ste. 101, on April 15, management staff told Community Impact. The new location is connected to a newly constructed Fisher's Neighborhood Market that opened in November.
