Here are two development stories Cedar Park residents should know about.
1. Mineral hot springs spa WorldSprings ‘no longer moving forward’ in Cedar Park
The Cedar Park location of WorldSprings, a spa centered around soaking pools and mineral springs, is “no longer moving forward to our understanding,” said Arthur Jackson, chief economic development officer with the city of Cedar Park.

WorldSprings declined to comment in depth when asked by Community Impact.
“While we are always looking at expansion opportunities, we do not currently have an update on the Austin location,” a company spokesperson said.
The background
Previously announced plans for the development included over 40 soaking pools and artificial mineral springs that would be designed to mimic various bodies of water around the world.

WorldSprings has three existing locations in Texas, Utah and Colorado. The Texas location is in The Colony.
2. 425-unit apartment complex coming to CedarView development
An $82 million project to build the CedarView development’s first apartment complex is expected to begin construction in January, according to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Some context
The CedarView development, located along New Hope Drive near 183A Toll, is anchored by NFM, formerly Nebraska Furniture Mart, and is also home to Scheels, a Marriott hotel and convention center, and more.
The details
Developers of the multifamily project are targeting a completion date in January 2029, the filing states.
The 650,000-square-foot apartment complex will include 12,000 square feet of indoor amenity space, including leasing, a clubroom and fitness center, and two courtyards totaling 30,000 square feet of outdoor space.
