The portion of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail that meets Toll 183A temporarily closed June 12 for the construction of a pedestrian bridge, according to a Williamson County news release.
The 7.8-mile trail extends along Brushy Creek just east of Great Oaks Drive westward to U.S. 183 in Cedar Park.
According to the release, the trail is going to be realigned so a 120-foot bridge can connect the Williamson County Brushy Creek Regional Trail to the Toll 183A shared-use path underneath the Toll 183A South Brushy Creek Bridge. The trail should reopen by June 15.
Meanwhile, the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department's plans to repair damages to the trail near the auxiliary spillway must be delayed due to mandatory improvements needed on the dam at Brushy Creek Lake Park.
