Starting in mid-2014, Amy and Michael Boyd will get some help operating Sense and Color School of Music, which has been operating in Cedar Park since 2008.
The school offers lessons in guitar, bass guitar, vocal, drums, ukulele, mandolin, piano, violin and viola. Teacher Randal Robledo will take on a managerial role starting in mid-summer.
The guitar and mandolin instructor has played music since he was a child and started teaching about 15 years ago. He said he hopes to continue to build on the school's offerings including quarterly recitals and showcases featuring student ensembles.
"I've really liked what they have done with involving the community and the parents," Robledo said. "I'm going with the same vibe, making sure all the teachers and students are happy and creative and busy. We want to diversify what we teach and keep up with current songs and the classics."
