The shop also specializes in furniture upholstery repairs, such as for couches, chairs and patio cushions. Customers can bring in a photo of their furniture, discuss fabric selections with a designer, and receive a price estimate for the project, which includes pickup and delivery.

The upholstery work is done on-site by a team of workers led by Mark Moore, whose family has been in the business for more than 30 years and founded the company in 1993. McCann, who got her start designing nurseries for clients, bought the business in 2007.

“I think [customers are] relieved that it’s one stop for fabric and the labor for upholstery. I think that’s where we’re different than most other businesses in town,” Moore said. “A lot of it, too, is [customers] wanting to have a designer’s hand in it and customize it from beginning to end.”

Leslie Sieswerda, owner of L Interiors Austin, said she appreciates the personal service she and her clients receive. 

“They’re just … lovely, fabulous people to work with,” she said.
