Diners seeking a quick lunch, a laid-back dinner or space for a large gathering can find it at Cherry Creek Catfish Restaurant in Leander, owner Danny Lenertz said.
The Leander seafood restaurant celebrated its one-year anniversary in October, though the original South Austin location has been open for more than 20 years. Lenertz said he bought the original location in 2011.
Cherry Creek Catfish has a wide variety of choices for diners, including fried catfish baskets, chicken-fried steak dinners, barbecued pork ribs and grilled shrimp or chicken, he said.
“People assume it’s all catfish because catfish is in our name, but once they get here and see the menu, there’s a lot [to choose from],” Lenertz said.
