Three candidates vying for Cedar Park mayor's seat May 12
Three mayoral candidates pledged to support local businesses in Cedar Park if elected in May.
Matthew Powell, who vacated his city council seat to run for mayor, said he would like to revamp the city's comprehensive plan to include feedback from local enterprises.
Former Cedar Park Planning and Zoning commissioner Eddie Hurst said his primary plan as mayor would be to promote small businesses through public transit and the purchase of city buses.
Wayne Ruark, former Parks and Recreation Advisory Board member, said he wants the city to purchase goods and services locally whenever possible.
