Cedar Park City Hall and public works building to undergo renovations valued around $2.27 million

City Hall Building 3 and Public Works Building 1 in the city of Cedar Park are scheduled to be remodeled to allow for additional workspace.

At a meeting Aug. 9, Cedar Park City Council approved a contract with Trimbuilt Construction Inc. for the project, which is not to exceed $2.27 million.

"[Building 3 is an] existing single-story [facility] that we'll demolish and install a two-story," Cedar Park Senior Project Manager Randall Leuders said.

City Hall Building 3 will be replaced with a 5,130-square-foot first floor with a multipurpose room, offices for tourism staff, a kitchen and bathrooms, according to city documents. The reconstruction will also include a 3,750-square-foot second floor with offices for information services staff members.

The city's Public Works Building 1 will be expanded to include an additional 1,032 square feet on the first floor, which will feature offices and workstations.

"It's a small expansion to provide, I believe, three offices and a couple workstations for staff out there," Lueders said.

The project, including both buildings, is scheduled to be complete in early summer 2019 if Trimbuilt Construction can get started within the next month or so, he said.
