Note: The third paragraph of this story has been corrected to show that if the Future Land Use Plan Amendment is accepted by City Council, it would allow the dealership to apply to rezone the property.
Cedar Park City Council plans at its Jan. 23 meeting to consider a Future Land Use Plan Amendment that could potentially lead to a 9.22-acre expansion of the Toyota of Cedar Park dealership.
In order to expand its vehicle sales area, Toyota of Cedar Park is seeking to change the Future Land Use Description of a parcel—which is adjacent to and north of the existing dealership at 5600 US 183A—from regional office/retail/commercial to heavy commercial, according to the city. The parcel is currently zoned as general business.
If the Future Land Use Plan Amendment is accepted by City Council, it would allow the dealership to apply to rezone the property and request a Special Use Permit to expand its vehicle sales area onto the parcel.
