Cedar Park to add interactive exhibits at new Bell District library

Exhibits include the following:

• a scarf wall feature that encourages gross motor play and includes science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts for kids ages 3 and older
• a back-lit color mixing wheel
• an illumination station that allows kids to be creative and produce art
• a magnetic sensory gear wall
• an enclosed area with soft carpet geared toward crawlers, or children ages 6 months to 2 years. The area will have partial seating for parents and caregivers to play with the kids.
• a two-story treehouse with a play kitchen, a secret crawl space, a viewing bubble and a slide

Lueders said Boss Display designed and created the exhibits custom made for the city’s new library.

“I love them, and I’m excited,” Council Member Bobbi Hutchinson said at the meeting.

The new library is scheduled to open in 2024 and will be part of the Bell District located off South Bell Boulevard between Buttercup Creek Boulevard and Park Street.
