New Orleans-style restaurant Cajun Skillet closed its restaurant and food truck Oct. 19, according to a social media post from the company.

Owners Steve and Shantrese Gillam started the business in 2016 as a food truck and catering service before opening a brick-and-mortar location in September 2020. The business served Cajun cuisine, such as gumbo, po’boys, jambalaya, etouffee and more.

Cajun Skillet’s other location in Temple has also closed.
