A 240,000-square-foot Scheels is set to open in fall 2026 in Cedar Park, and it's set to employ more than 500 people.
According to a news release issued Oct. 20, the majority of associates at the Cedar Park location will be hired locally.
The employee-owned sporting goods store will be located in the soon-to-come CedarView development near the H-E-B Center along New Hope Drive between 183A Toll and US 183.
In addition to 75 specialty shops inside, the Scheels location will offer family-friendly activities, such as a 65-foot Ferris Wheel, a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium stocked with 600 fish, a wildlife mountain and an interactive arcade.
