The ongoing construction of “Big 6” starts June off with three closures throughout the beginning of the week in College Station.
What you need to know
- June 1: Single-lane closures between Southwest Parkway and Harvey Road, 7:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- The northbound right mainlane will be closed as crew set up a traffic barrier. This closure includes:
- Northbound entrance ramp south of Southwest Parkway
- Northbound Harvey Road exit ramp.
- June 2: Full closure between Rock Prairie Road and Southwest Parkway, 8:30 p.m.- 6:30 a.m.
- The northbound mainlane between Rock Prairie Road and Southwest Parkway will be closed.
- All traffic will have to use the Rock Prairie exit ramp and re-enter using the Southwest Parkway mainlanes.
- The northbound entrance ramps south of Barron Road and south of Harvey Mitchell Parkway will be closed starting at 7:30 a.m.
- June 3: Ramp closure at Texas Avenue north, 7:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- The northbound Texas Avenue exit ramp is going to be closed for road paving. The Texas Department of Transportation recommends rerouting to Texas Avenue with turning left on Southwest Parkway.
