College Station City Council will consider several infrastructure contracts, economic development negotiations and a proposed change to the city’s transportation plan during its April 9 meeting.
Council members will begin in executive session at 4 p.m. ahead of reconvening in open session at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

Additional items include upgrades to the council chamber broadcast production room and approval of a new commercial recycling franchise agreement.
The only regular agenda item is a hearing on a proposed amendment to the city’s Comprehensive Plan.
If approved, the ordinance would remove a planned future extension of Pebble Creek Parkway between St. Andrews Drive and a future southern arterial roadway, along with associated bike lanes and sidewalks.
City documents say the Comprehensive Plan serves as a long-range growth guide rather than a zoning decision.

The council will also receive legal advice related to water rights and ongoing litigation involving the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
Council members are also scheduled to evaluate the city attorney, the internal auditor and conduct a council self-evaluation in closed session.
