College Station City Council on May 28 approved amending the city’s fiscal year 2025-26 budget with an over $5 million increase in expenses.

Diving in deeper
According to public records, the original approved budget for the city of College Station for 2025-26 was a little over $474 million. However, a budget increase in January grew it to $506 million.
During the meeting, council member Bob Yancy said this is the second budget change this year and that the council doesn’t generally do more than three amendments throughout the calendar year.
