Looking for plans this weekend? From First Friday festivities to marching band fundraisers and live theatre, there are plenty of ways to stay busy in the Bryan-College Station area this weekend. Here is a look at 10 events happening Aug. 6-9. This list is not comprehensive and events are subject to change.
Global Leadership Summit 2026
Christ Church will host a leadership conference made up of CEOs, faith leaders and "culture-shapers" in a two-day event broadcast to more than 100 countries.
Moriarty at StageCenter Theatre
Five actors will play more than 40 roles in a new Sherlock Holmes adventure at StageCenter. Directed by Jennifer Hargis, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson investigate the Bohemian king’s stolen letters, leading to an international mystery where the duo finds "criminal mastermind" Professor Moriarty.
Largest Gun Show in Texas
A three-day gun show event will be hosted at Legends Event Center, featuring 1,500 tables and showcases. The first show is Aug. 7 at noon.
First Friday
August First Friday will be hosted in Historic Downtown Bryan, featuring live music, local art, shopping and activities. Parking is free at the Roy Kelly Parking Garage.
Live music at Calvary Court: Jerry Almaraz
Alternative country music artist and native Texan Jerry Almaraz will play live at the Canteen Bar & Grill while guests enjoy light bites and handcrafted cocktails.
College Station High School Cougar Band & Guard March-A-Thon
College Station ISD will host "one of the most important fundraisers of the year" at H-E-B Tower Point to provide essential funding for music, instruction, equipment, transportation, uniforms and performances for the upcoming school year.

A&M Consolidated High School Band and Guard March-A-Thon
In addition to College Station ISD's fundraiser for CSHS's band and guard, another fundraiser will be hosted at St. Andrews Park. Funds raised will go toward music, instruction, equipment, transportation, uniforms and performances for “The Mighty Band from Tigerland.” This fundraiser includes a march at the Pebble Creek Country Club and ends with a concert at the park.

Grand Station Friends & Family Special
Bowling, laser tag, mini golf and shoe rental all come at a reduced price on Saturdays at Grand Station.
Cards, Comics & Collectibles Expo
Collectors are invited to the Brazos County Expo Complex to see a weekend-long show bringing together a mix of sports cards, Pokémon, comics, memorabilia and toys and gaming treasures among other offerings. According to the city, “every table tells a story.”
Float Into Fall
Recreational swimmers are invited to the last swim of the season at Bryan Aquatic Center. The city of Bryan said the center will celebrate with games and back-to-school giveaways.
