College Station ISD trustees will consider a pilot program at their Oct. 20 meeting to have district central office administrators serve as substitute teachers on campuses.

The details

The agenda calls for trustees to consider and possibly take action on developing and implementing a program inspired by El Paso ISD. Board members proposed the idea at their Sept. 15 workshop, which is now being formally proposed, though action is not guaranteed to be taken.

At the September meeting, Trustee Kimberly McAdams said the district has an 80% fill rate of substitute teachers.
