Bryan ISD’s board of trustees are set to meet April 20 to discuss instructional materials, campus renovations tied to the 2025 bond and hear reports on ongoing budgetary information.
What’s happening
Several action items on the April 20 agenda relate directly to Bryan ISD’s 2025 bond plan.
Administrators are seeking approval of multiple design and construction contracts tied to interior renovations, including new multipurpose learning spaces, floor finish upgrades, wall improvements and restroom renovations across district campuses.
Outside of bond-related action items, trustees will also consider:
- Purchase in excess of $50,000: Trustees will consider replacing a boiler at Neal Elementary School. Bids disclosed in agenda materials show the replacement will cost up to $162,833.
- High school math materials: Trustees will consider approval of new high school math instructional materials as part of the district’s ongoing curriculum review process.
- According to agenda materials, the Instructional Materials and Technology Allotment, established by Texas’ 82nd Legislature in 2011, is outside of the available school fund. It specifically funds instructional materials, technology equipment and related software systems.
- Compliance survey: Board members will review certification of the district’s instructional materials compliance survey for the 2026-27 school year.
Also on the agenda
The meeting is also expected to highlight student achievements and board member reports, including Davila Middle School’s partnership with Texas A&M University through the Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge.
