Bryan coffee shop House of Rain has expanded with a second location, now available in Historic Downtown Bryan.
What House of Rain offers
The shop offers handcrafted drinks, including hot and iced coffee, matcha and lattes. Pastries such as muffins and croissants are also available, along with a comfy seating area in the new location.
How it happened
After being in business for more than a year in its first location, Gonzalez said the opening of the downtown location is great for convenience for the working professionals in the area.
“Downtown Bryan is a very busy place and we love to hang out here,” Gonzalez said. "People had been asking us a lot for something else. I feel grateful that we feel welcome in downtown.”
Co-owner Emanuel Gonzalez said he and his wife Lorraine Ramos expanded because of the need for more space and to add more pastries to the menu.
“We don't have space for anything,” Gonzalez said. “We had been looking for something else for cookies and pastries, and so we could have all the tools.”
Gonzalez said Ramos is the driving force behind this business and that her passion shines in every cup of coffee served.
“All of this is my wife. All of the signs, the planning, the coffee; it's my wife,” Gonzalez said. “She is the mind behind everything.

With two locations in Bryan, House of Rain is now conveniently available on both sides of the city.
