A new wellness studio is coming to Aggieland.
Brazos Emerge will begin offering in-person classes, featuring pilates, myofascial release therapy and leadership programs at its first physical location in downtown Bryan this summer.
What's happening?
The business had originally planned to open earlier this year, but construction delays pushed the timeline back. Owner Christine Bergeron Ballew said she expects to move into the space Aug. 1, with services beginning in mid-August.
Before opening a brick-and-mortar location, Brazos Emerge operated through leadership programs in local schools and educational workshops for dance instructors since 2025.
What Brazos Emerge offers
The studio will offer private and duet Pilates Reformer sessions, small-group mat Pilates classes and weekly myofascial release appointments, which is a hands-on therapy designed to reduce pain and improve mobility by targeting connective tissue surrounding muscles.
The business will also continue offering leadership programs for teens through partnerships with schools, dance studios and youth organizations, as well as professional development workshops focused on safe dance practices for dance educators.
Bergeron said the studio’s small class sizes are designed to provide individualized instruction for clients of varying ages, abilities and fitness levels.
The impact
According to Bergeron, Brazos Emerge aims to serve as a community resource throughout the Brazos Valley.
"I knew I wanted to create something that reflected my passions and my purpose. From the outside, the business may seem to have a wide variety of offerings, but at its heart are three core values: education, community, and helping others grow," she said in a written statement.
