Infusion pharmacy Vital Care is now open in College Station, providing at-home and in-office infusion therapy.
The overview
Founded by husband-and-wife Muyiwa Olaosun and Lola Alao, the pharmacy said it is the first of its kind to prepare and administer infusion medication in-house in College Station.
Olaosun said the couple's dream started with a commitment to excellent patient care, especially in regard to how large pharmaceutical companies treat patients.
"One of the things we pride ourselves on is that during the first ring, someone will pick up," Olaosun said.
The facility has a compounding room for medications, along with multiple rooms for patients to relax before and during infusions. Alao said another priority for the pharmacy is to make patients feel comfortable in the rooms or in their own homes.
"When people have chronic illnesses, the last thing they want to feel is stress," Alao said. "The reason we do in-home care is just that."

Vital Care celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting by the BCS Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 22 and has been accepting patients for nearly two months. Vital Care also has 24/7 on-call support with nurses and pharmacists.
