Javi’s, a Tex-Mex restaurant originally from Tyler, is set to open its doors in College Station by the end of the week.
The overview
As previously reported by Community Impact, Javi’s is taking over the former Red Lobster, which has been vacant since 2020.
What Javi's offers
Javi’s website states the location will be “designed as a social dining destination; Javi's blends a polished, modern Southwest aesthetic with a lively indoor-outdoor experience.”
Along with serving Tex-Mex staples like tacos and enchiladas, the restaurant said more than 140 types of tequila will be available.
General Manager Raul Betancourt told Community Impact this is a part of the expansion of alcohol offerings from its original location in East Texas.

While Javi's does not have an official opening date set, Betancourt said the restaurant will be open by the end of the first week of August.
