Officials with West University Place's Parks and Recreation Department announced on July 17 the Colonial Park pool, located at 4130 Byron St., is now open.
What happened
The park regained power on July 16 after Hurricane Beryl caused widespread power outages, flooding and damages after landing in the Greater Houston region on July 8.
City staff worked to restore the pool's chemical levels and ensure the facility was ready for visitors, according to the announcement.
