According to a Nov. 12 news release, Farquhar joined the Bellaire Fire Department in 2005 and has served as both a firefighter and a paramedic. Over the years, he has served in key leadership roles, including lieutenant, captain, commander, assistant fire chief and fire marshal.
“Chief Farquhar has the strong support and respect of the regional fire/EMS community and of department employees, who are eager to work under his leadership,” City Manager Sharon Citino said in the new release. “I’m confident that with Chief Farquhar, the community and staff will be in good hands, and the department will continue to grow in a positive direction.”
